Welcome to my first blog! Try to contain your excitement :) My event planning business has hit the ground running. I already have two events lined up to plan in July thanks to my dear friends at Color Nation Salon and Spa. One is a charity event at the Saucy Bistro happening on July 25th, Christmas in July! So far I've met with Matt from the Saucy Bistro and Mike from Color Nation to try to nail down the details of the event. So far so good! The next step is for the guys to pick the charity for the event and to let me know which band they've lined up for the entertainment. As soon as these details are completed I can contact the charity, get the advertisement flyers designed and we're on our way to a great event! The second event is Color Nation's summer picnic. This event has been more difficult because finding a family-friendly, outdoor location that allows alcohol has been a bit of a challenge. So far I've ruled out any place in the Metro Parks and any city park (they both do not allow alcohol). I'll be contacting some minor league sports venues to see if they fit my criteria. I'm optimistic I'll find the right place for their event :)
In other news, I'll be traveling back to France in two weeks. I'm so excited to go back to see my french family and be in the beautiful Alps again.
